Bachelor of Education Program
The educational objectives, core abilities, and future prospects of the counseling psychology and lifelong learning and human resource development section are described as below:
I. Section of counseling psychology
The purpose of the counseling psychology section is to promote the guidance and counseling. The education and curriculum planning objectives are focused on the following key areas of development:
1. Education objectives
(1)Cultivate the talents of school psychology, guidance, and counseling;
(2)Cultivate the talents of community psychology, guidance, and counseling;
(3)Cultivate the talents of counseling psychology academic research and practical application ability.
2. Core abilities
(1)Learn the basic knowledge and ability of the psychology to help others;
(2)Develop the ability of applying the basic knowledge of psychology to help others;
(3)Have the basic knowledge of psychology research;
(4)Understand the professional ethics and spirit of psychological services;
(5)Have the ability of self-care and self-growing.
3. Future prospects
Further academic study:
Whether studying in Taiwan or abroad, students are all available for master programs at the Institute of Guidance and Counselling, Institute of Educational Psychology and Guidance, Institute of Social Work, Institute of Social Work and Social Policy, Institute of Education, Institute of Psychology, Institute of Adult Education and Institute of Social Welfare.
Employment:
Students are available to be employed in the public service bodies (education, health, courts, police), social welfare agencies (domestic violence centers, women’s service centers, domestic help centers), schools at all levels (guidance teachers), academic research, enterprises and hospitals (human resources, EAP) and other units.
Examination:
After graduating from the master program, students can obtain the qualification of participating in the national examination, and take the positions of counseling teacher or probation officer after passing the examination.

1. Education objectives:

【Lifelong Learning and Human Resource Development master program】
This master program aims to cultivate lifelong learning and human resource development professionals, and to promote the realization of the learning society.
I. Education objectives:
Cultivate professional talents of lifelong learning and promotional practice.
Cultivate professional talents of human resources development and promotional practice.
Cultivate students' enthusiasm to actively participate in the practice of learning society in Taiwan.
II. Vision and development orientations
This master program not only actively promotes the academic research of lifelong learning and human resources development, but also continuously strengthens the cooperation with various institutions, accumulates practical development experience, and promotes the full integration of academic and practical research, so as to widely cultivate the outstanding talents of lifelong learning and human resources development in terms of planning, administration, research and other fields.
III. Future prospects
Apart from continuing their studies, or taking up public service or teaching posts, graduates also have a wide range of job choices, including taking positions of administrative planning education personnel, museum education promotion personnel, organizational learning planning and promotion personnel, corporate and public sector human resources development personnel, multi-media/long-distance teaching planning and design personnel, and lifelong learning guidance and counseling personnel in the social education institutions, community colleges, and universities.
This master program has been undertaking the work of lifelong learning promotion and research for consecutive years from the Ministry of Education. For example, since 2005, the program has held the annual "National Lifelong Learning Forum", conducted the Ministry of Education's "seed teacher training certification for lifelong learning", and implemented the Ministry of Education's adult education survey report. The program has established the adult education database, carried out the evaluation of the Foundation of the Ministry of Education, evaluated and guided the development of senior citizens learning camp and senior citizens learning center, and the development of community colleges in Taiwan.

- Take the positions of personnel, education, training, or human resources to deal with the employee counseling, education, training and others.
- Serve as the consultants in the research institutes to handle the labor issues and corporate training, and serve as the consultants in banking departments to deal with the organizational behavior, labor relations, corporate training, employment counseling and other aspects of planning and practical and research work and organizational development.
- Take the positions responsible for the planning of education and training in the education promotion department in the community college, senior citizen adult education program, senior citizens learning center, senior citizens learning camp, and various universities and vocational colleges.
- Be able to participate in the civil service examination: general administration, education administration, personnel administration, and labor administration.
- Take positions in the administrative departments of adult education and labor in the central or local governments at all levels.
- Take positions of counseling professionals in the lifelong learning institutions and employment services institutions.
